Adding to the Covert 2.0 lineup, Nike Golf has officially announced VRS Covert 2.0 hybrids.

The new hybrids tap into something Nike engineers are calling ‘Linear Transition Design’. Translation? As loft increases, the head sizes get progressively smaller, and face height increases.

The #2 and #3 hybrids feature larger heads, and perform more like a fairway. The #4 and #5 feel more like an iron, for longer shots to the green.

Tony Dabbs, Nike Golf Global Product Director commented on the 2.0 Hybrid line:

“With the new VRS Covert 2.0 hybrids, the longer the shot, the more forgiving the club… When we looked at it, we realized it makes more sense, especially with a #2 and #3 hybrid, to produce ball flight that is more similar to a fairway wood. As the line progresses, the heads get smaller, and the #4 and #5 hybrids are designed to hit the green with a little higher trajectory and more shot-making precision.”

The VRS Covert 2.0 Tour and Covert 2.0 hybrids feature the same Fly-Brace reinforced High-Speed Cavity back design found in their other Covert 2.0 offerings. The design improves the moment of inertia and stiffens the back of the club to help increase ball speeds off the face.

FlexLoft is also on-board, making it easy to dial up loft and face angle adjustments independently of one another.
